I. Admission Programs
For the spring semester of 2026, Shandong University of Finance and Economics offers two Chinese language programs for international students: the Beginner Chinese Class and the Intermediate Chinese Class.
Both program includes compulsory courses in Speaking, Listening, Comprehensive Grammar, Chinese Characters, and Reading.
Additionally, there are traditional Chinese culture experience courses covering Chinese history, Chinese Culture, Calligraphy and Painting, and Paper-Cutting Art.
II. Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Nationality: Non-Chinese citizens.
2. Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 65 years of age. Applicants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by parents or have a legal guardian (either a foreigner or Chinese national residing in China) appointed by their parents, with relevant guardianship documents provided.
3. Educational Requirement: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent/higher degree.
III. Application
1. Online Application: Submit applications via SDUFE Online Application System (http://istu.sdufe.edu.cn). Applicants are advised to regularly check their email and junk mail for further information. Failure to provide the requested information in a timely manner may result in rejection.
2. Deadline: 12th January, 2026
IV. Required Documents
1. Completed SDUFE International Student Application Form;
2. Copy of your passport of the personal information page;
3. 2-inch bareheaded passport photo with white background (JPG);
4. Highest academic degree/diploma obtained;
5. Academic transcripts for the highest degree/diploma;
6. Resume (for non-current high school graduate);
7. Proof of financial support.

VI. Visa and Entry
1. Visa Type: Admitted students will be assisted in obtaining an X1 visa for study in China.
2. Entry Requirements: Students must apply for a residence permit within 30 days of arrival.
VII. Accommodation and Campus Life
1. Dormitory: Single or double rooms equipped with beds, desks, wardrobes, private bathrooms and internet access, etc.
2. Facilities: public kitchens, laundry rooms, gyms, and lounges in dormitories; campus amenities include canteens, libraries, sports centers, and swimming pools, etc.
